Dear friends, I am excited to announce I’ve been nominated for a Jeff Award as musical director in the "Evolution of a Sonero” production, which ran at the Urban Theatre Company. I would like to thank Flaco Navaja, and (UTC) for the opportunity to contribute to their vision, as well as the judges who nominated and recognized my work, and the community who supported the production with 3 weeks of sold out nights. The band are among the best musicians in Chicago, and it was a pleasure to work with them as well. Thank you.

Hello friends, I am thrilled to announce I‘ve just been hired at The Second City as musical director! SC is a comedy icon with a remarkable trajectory. Performing, writing music for shows, improv sketches, and teaching song writing in the training center are some of the things I’ll be involved in. Come on by and make a yourself happy. “Evolution of a Sonero” is a solo show written and performed by Flaco Navaja. It’s a play based on his life, growing up as a singer in the Bronx, the life challenges he’s had to overcome, successes and failures, all with good genuine humor and a live band.

We are thrilled to announce Darwin’s 2nd single release slated for November 2022! The original track is entitled “Steppin”, which features rapper Keith Da Maestro and Cuban saxist Rocky Yera. “Steppin” is a song Darwin is dedicating to the people of Ukraine, as they push forward valiantly in defending their right to exist. Be on the look out for this high octane Latin jazz work!

Darwin will be performing with his trio for the first time in Arizona, at the Oracle Piano Society and The Century Room. In these two shows, Darwin will be presenting his new works recently released in February of this year, as well as new compositions he’s working on. The trio will also be playing from the Charles Mingus book, as it is his birthday week.
